Tran was born and raised in a small town in the Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam. Losing her mom to cancer lead to her decision to become a pharmacist “to invent medication to treat patients and serve the community’s and society’s health”.
After graduating from Ho Chi Minh City of Medicine and Pharmacy University, she worked as a medical representative at Sanofi before joining Boehringer Ingelheim Vietnam in 2017 where her hard work and dedication lead to her being recognised with the SEASK Excellence Award in 2021.
Besides stroke, she is knowledgeable about diabetes, COPD and asthma.
Tran learnt about the Angels programme from a colleague and was impressed with the programne’s slogan – Leave your legacy. She joined the Angels Vietnam team as a stroke care programme specialist in 2022.
She says, “Someone once said, ‘Everyone lives their life once, so do something you think is worthy.’ As part of Angels, I will do more for the community, especially caring for stroke patients, to give them a second chance at life.”
